COUNTY CHAMPS!

Cascade

In their first game of the Hendricks County Tournament the Brownsburg Bulldogs put up an impressive 19 runs against the Cascade Cadets. Freshman Olivia Calero secured the win in the circle allowing only 1 hit and 0 runs. Frehman Maddy Edwards and Sophomore Lydia Twomey also saw time in the circle as well and allowed only 3 hits and 2 runs combined, for a win of 19-2.

Offensively the Bulldogs were led by sophomore, Mackenzie Bedrick who was 5 for 5 with 1 RBI and scored 5 runs. Claire Flick was 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Sophie Bosket, Skyla Bilski, Marah Wood, Sydney Rodegeir, Maicey Bedrick, Haley Huff, and Kyleigh Vaught all had two hits for the Bulldog win.

 

Avon

The Bulldogs took on the #11 ranked Avon Orioles for the second time this year in the Championship game of the County Tournament. Senior Elissa Brown led the Bulldogs defensively on the mound allowing only 6 hits total from a solid Oriole lineup.

The Bulldogs offense stayed hot throughout the entire night. Marah Wood started off the game with a 3 run bomb to put the Dogs up 3-0 in the first inning. She finished the night 3 for 4 with 1 HR, 2 doubles, and 3 runs scored. Sydney Rodegheir went 4 for 4 at the plate against the Orioles and also had a HR, and 2 doubles, and 5 RBIs. Junior, Sophie Bosket hit her first HR of the season and went 3 for 5 at the plate. Mackenzie Bedrick, Anna Carroll, Elissa Brown, Haley Huff, and Claire Flick all added to the Bulldog offense with a few hits as well. The Dogs scored another 19 runs in the Championship game, clutching a 19-6 win and a County Championship!

The Bulldogs will be in action again Friday night up in Carmel at 8pm for the Carmel Invite. They will play 3 games total for the weekend. Go Dogs!
