Bulldogs Battle for B&O Rotary Bell

Last night the Lady Bulldogs captured their 4th win for the season with a defeat against the #7 ranked Avon Orioles, in a hard fought battle for the Rotary B&O Bell. The Bulldogs' bats started off a little slow to begin the game, and the dogs were down 5-0 heading in to the 4th inning, but nevertheless senior, Claire Flick started the scoring rally with her first homerun of the evening. Flick was 3 for 4 on the night, with 2 homeruns. Junior, Haley Huff was 3 for 3 with 1 run and 3 RBIs. All the lady dogs contributed at least 1 hit to the offense in the 11-6 victory.

Senior, Elissa Brown got her 3rd win for the season pitching all 7 innings of the contest, holding a solid Orioles lineup to only 6 runs. She was backed by an impressive defense as well. Junior, Sydney Rodegheir gunned two base runners down from left field on two separate occasions, and put a stop to an Avon rally.

The Lady Bulldogs are set to face the #1 ranked Center Grove Trojans on Thursday at home, at 5:30pm. Come out and show your support for your home team and enjoy the sunny and 75 degree weather.
