Bulldogs Score Two Wins Over The Weekend

Saturday afternoon turned out to be a sunny day for the Bulldogs who snagged two big wins against Bishop Chatard and Marquette Catholic to bump their record to 3-1.

In the first game against Chatard the Bulldogs had 13 hits as a team. Anna Carroll led the pack going 4 for 4, with 3 RBIs and scoring 3 runs herself. Sophomores, Marah Wood and Mackenzie Bedrick also did well offensively for the Bulldogs. Wood was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 1 run, and Bedrick was 3 for 3, scoring 3 runs.

Senior Elissa Brown led the Dogs to victory in the circle allowing only 2 runs scored in her 6 innings pitched. Freshman, Maddy Edwards came in as relief to close the game out. Bulldogs won 8-4.

Bulldogs put up an impressive 17 runs against Marquette Catholic, having 21 hits collectively as a team. Many of the bulldogs had at least 1 hit for the offense in the second game to help improve their record to 3-1. Sydney Rodegheir was 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Senior, Claire Flick also went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI and 4 runs scored. Senior, Kyliegh Anderson was 3 for 3 with 1 RBI.

Freshman, Olivia Calero had her first start and win for the season as a pitcher, allowing only 2 hits and 2 runs total in 4 innings pitched. She also had an impressive day at the plate offensively, going 2 for 3 with 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Brownsburg won 17-2.

The bulldogs are scheduled to take on Avon this Tuesday, April 10th at home with a start time of 6pm.
