Brownsburg sweeps top spots at IHSAA Sectional 17

BOYS FULL RESULTS | GIRLS FULL RESULTS

Brownsburg cross country took the top two spots at IHSAA Cross Country Sectional 17 and advanced to the Regional. Individually, Brooke Dixon and Alex Freeman of Brownsburg were crowned IHSAA Sectional 17 Champions at the meet. 

Avon, Bethesda Christian, Brownsburg, Cascade, Cloverdale, Danville Community, Greencastle, North Putnam, South Putnam, Plainfield, Crawfordsville, Tri-West Hendricks and Southmont all competed at the sectional. 

Boys

On the boys side, No. 7 Brownsburg put five of their runners in the top ten individual times. Freeman and Jacob Krodrick took two of the top three spots at the meet. Each of the Bulldogs' runners finished in the top-25 out of the 82 runners competing at the sectional. 

It was the second consecutive season that the Bulldogs were crowned Sectional champs.

Girls

The Brownsburg girls also took five of the top-ten spots at the sectional to win their fourth consecutive sectional championship. Brownsburg was the only school to have even three runners in the top-ten. 

Dixon and Emma Cougill posted the top two times for the Bulldogs.
