Boys Track Records Fall vs Zionsville

The boys had their final dual of the season Wednesday night at home against Zionsville. The Bulldogs were successful, winning the meet scoring 93 points to Zionsville's 39 points. Three school records fell Wednesday night. Reis Thomas broke his own school record in the discus throwing 175-1. Pierce Thomas broke Tyler Kirtz's 200 meter dash record of 22.14 running 22.03. John Colquitt broke his own Freshman school record in the 300 meter hurdles running 42.12. Gavin Waltz won the 100 meter dash running 11.08 and Tyrone Griffin won the 110 meter hurdles running 15.07. The 4x100 meter relay team of Pierce Thomas, Gavin Waltz, Andrew Tetrick, and Shai Sumpter-Bey took first in a season best time of 42.51. The 4x400 meter relay team of Trey Fisher, Gavin Waltz, Luke Lacey, and Haiden Diemer McKinney took first with a time of 3:27.72. Tyler Nolan ran 53.11 and won the 400 meter dash and Jacob Kodrick won the 1600 meter run in a time of 4:41.17. Alex Freeman ran 9:51.21 in the 3200 meter run to finish in first. Other winners in the field events included Marcos Barbosa in the high jump clearing 6-2 and Pierce Thomas in the long jump leaping 22-0. The Bulldogs are back on the track next Thursday as the travel to Avon to compete in the IHSAA Sectional.
