Boys Track & Field Places 2nd at Zionsville Invite

The boys traveled Friday evening to Zionsville to compete in the Zionsville invitational. The Bulldogs finished 2nd in the competition scoring 109 points. The boys had a strong showing in the field events. Reis Thomas won the discus with a toss of 151-5 and Marcos Barbosa won the high jump clearing 6-4. John Colquitt finished 5th in the long jump  leaping 20'4" and Matt Albert tied for 4th in the pole vault clearing 12 feet. On the track, the boys were led by a strong outing from Senior Tyler Nolan. Tyler finished 4th in the 800 breaking the two minute barrier for the first running 1:58.3. Tyler also anchored the 4x400 meter relay team to a 4th place finish. His time of 52.1 seconds was another PR. Tyrone Griffin finished 4th in the 110 meter hurdles and 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles. Trey Fisher finished 4th in the 400 meter dash while Freshman Haiden Diemer-Mckinney finished 6th in that event running 52.59. His time broke the freshman school record held previously by Pierce Thomas. Gavin Waltz was 3rd in the 100 meter dash and 4th in the 200 meter dash running personal records of 11.2 and 22.8. The Bulldogs are back on the track Thursday evening as they travel to Avon to compete in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Championships.
