Boys Track Falls to the Shamrocks

The Bulldogs track and field team traveled to Westfield to take on the Shamrocks Thursday night. The boys fell to the Shamrocks in a final score of 83 to 49. The Bulldogs were led by Tyray Lackey who won the long jump with a jump of 19'8". Tyray also won the high jump clearing 5'10". The boys also picked up a first place finish in the 1600 meter run. Trevor Nolan ran a massive personal best of 4:42 to place 1st in the competition. The Bulldogs strongest event of the evening was the pole vault. The boys swept the competition. Matt Albert won the event clearing 11'6". DJ Terrell also cleared 11'6", but was second due to misses. Kyle Flandermeyer was third in the pole vault clearing 11'.  Other notable finishes were Deante Ball in the 400 meter dash who finished second, Chris Williamson in the 200 meter dash who finished second, and John Colquitt in the long jump who finished second. The varsity boys team will bring 14 athletes to compete Saturday in the Indoor State Competition at Indiana University.
