Boys T&F Places 2nd at County Meet

The Boys Track Team traveled to Cascade last night to compete in the Hendricks County Track Meet. The Boys took second place in the meet, scoring 129 points. In the field events, Senior Devin Humes took first place in the discus throwing 155-9. Devin also took second in the shot put with a toss of 48-2. Senior Justin Garnett took 3rd in the pole vault clearing 10-6. Corey Griffen and Richard Lang tied for second placed both clearing 5-8 in the high jump. In the long jump, Leigh Nutall finished second jumping a PR of 20-4.75. On the track, Corey Griffen took second place in the 110 meter hurdles running 15.97. The 4x100 meter relay team of Leigh Nutall, Jon Hammond, Jack Parker, and Shai Sumpter-Bey placed second running 43.6. Tyrone Griffin placed 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles running a massive PR of 43.42. Other notable PR's include the 400 meter runners. In a 400 meter race where the top 3 finishers all ran under 50 seconds, Jon Hammond took 6th in the event, but ran a PR of 52.8 and Bryce Kirtz placed 4th in the event running a PR of 50.26. The Bulldogs are back on the track Friday as they travel to Zionsville for the Zionsville Invitational.
