Boys T&F Wins

The Boys Track and Field team took on Lebanon and Speedway last night in a home contest. The Bulldogs were victorious, winning the track meet 101 to 31 (Lebanon) to 38 (Speedway). In the field events, the Bulldogs won the High jump (Eli Johnson 6'), the Discus (Devin Humes 131'10"), the Pole Vault (Justin Garnett 10'), the Shot Put (Devin Humes 46'9"), and the Long Jump (Corey Griffen 20'3"). Second place finishers in the field events included: Richard Lang in the High Jump, Reis Thomas in the Discus and the Shot Put, and Matthew Albert in the Pole Vault. On the track the Bulldogs had some strong performances from the underclassmen. Sophomore Bryce Kirtz won the 200 (23.02) and took 2nd in the 100 (11.08). Sophomore Deshaun Johnson won the 400 (54.8) and  Sophomore Jacob Risser was second (55.5). Freshman Stuart Goedde won the 1600 in a time of 4:49 and was second in the 800 with a 2:12. Corey Griffen won the 110 Meter Hurdles running 16.21 which his season best in that event. The 4x400 meter relay team of Dequincy Davis, Leigh Nutall, Corey Griffen, and Shai Sumpter-Bey finished the night off with a 1st place finish running 3:46. The Bulldogs are back in action this Friday night at the Joe Schott Twilight Invitational at Decatur Central.
