Decatur Invite Champions

The boys track and field team won the Decatur Twilight Invitational Friday night scoring 207 points with second place scoring 122 points! There were many great performances for the night. Toks Akinribade finished first in the 100 and 200 meters. Marcus Fierek had a big personal best in the mile to win with a time of 4:33. The 4 x 100 relay team of Toks, Tyler Kirtz, Eli Johnson, and John Hammond placed first. Tyler Kirtz and Hunter Johnson were first and second in the 400. Devon Boone won the 800 and the 4 x 400 team of Hunter Johnson, Corey Griffen, Nate Bess, and Tyler Kirtz placed first. In the field events, Devin Humes had a big PR night in the discus throwing 152'6". This is currently the 7th best throw in the state. He also brought home first in the shot put. Eli Johnson continued his winning streak in the high jump with a 6'5" jump. Isaiah Craddick and Corey Griffen placed second and third in the long jump. The team will travel to Plainfield Tuesday night. Go Dogs!
