The boys' track team evened their season record at 2 wins and 2 losses yesterday by easily cruising past Speedway and Lebanon High Schools at Speedway. The Bulldogs claimed victory in the following numerous events:
Jeremy Shupperd in the high hurdles
Johnny Dotlich in the 300 m hurdles
Elliot Shaw in the 1600 m run
Ben Hendricks in the 400 m dash
Justin Hays in the 3200 m run
Taylor Hemmert in the long jump
David LaPerl in the pole vault
The 4 x 100 relay team of Tyrelle Lismon, Evan Anders, Latrelle Bandstra, & Johnny Dotlich
The 4 x 400 relay team of Ben Hendricks, Nasiff Kouten, Johnny Dotlich, & Wyatt Rondot
The 4 x 800 relay team of Hendricks, Rondot, Shaw, & Bradley Bowles
Braving the wind and cold last evening, the Lady Bulldog Track Team ran away with the meet against Lebanon and Speedway claiming 107 points on the evening!
Event winners were Sibong Ncube in the 100 meter hurdles and high jump in 15.8 and 4'10", Jolori Schafer in the pole vault at 7 feet, Shay Roberson in the Discus with a throw of 77' 6", Mandy Holbrook in the shot with a throw of 30 feet, Chloe Dygert in the 400 meters in 63, Rachel Smith in the 800 in 2:37, Kerry Devney in the 300 hurdles in 51.47, Laura Bess in the 1600 in 5:30, Florence Akinribade in the 200 in 27.6, the 4x800 relay team of Jill Zimmerman, KJ Gaerke, Julia Popenfoose, and Bess in 10:53, the 4x100 relay team of Akinribade, Monique Burnes, Ncube, and Rocky Sulkoske in 53.4, the 4x400 relay team of Tavon McCollum, Morgan Weller, Sulkoske, and Dygert in 4:39.
Other girls who contributed to the victory were Sydney Lesko in the 800 and 1600, Isabella Zoog in the 200, Breanna Smith in the 100, Cassidy Brown in the 3200, Caitlin Dressler in the high jump, Lauren Markovich in the pole vault and long jump, and Brittany Newson and Ellie Reinhart in the discus.
The ladies travel to Decatur Central Friday night to take part in the Twilight meet!
