Tennis Posts Win vs. Covenant

The boys' varsity tennis team defeated Covenant Christian by a 5-0 score.  Sam Peterson, at number one singles, did a great job opening up the court and closing out points.  Number two singles player Greg Fulling served exceptionally well and kept his opponent from winning a single game.  Mason Lovett stayed in the game plan to bring home a solid win at the three spot.  Number one doubles teammates Jake Smith and Mason Whitis controlled the court with great footwork and angles.  The number two doubles team of Michael Jefferies and Kyle Allen finished up with a straight set win to hold the Warriors to a scoreless night on the varsity courts.

The varsity team will play at Avon on Saturday in the HCC Tournament.  There will be three rounds of play with matches beginning at 9:00 a.m.
