Sectional Champs

The men's swimming and diving team won their fourth consecutive team championship on Saturday at Pike.  The Bulldogs finished the meet almost 100 points ahead of the second place Pike Red Devils.

 

On Saturday the Bulldogs used depth to secure the big win as they were the only team to place all individual and relay swims in the meet.  The Bulldogs also displayed talent, as they won 4 of the 8 individual events and one of the relays.

 

Top finalists on the day included - 

Austin Kehr 5th and Simon Koester 7th in the 200 Free.  Devon Anderson 2nd and Scott Hasselbrinck 5th in the 200 IM.  Leister Perrin 5th, Will Scott 6th and Lee Grimes 7th in the 50 Free.  Sam Hughes 3rd and Jimmy Lawson 5th in Diving.  Jack Kreilein 2nd in the 100 Fly.  Jacob Wilson 3rd and Lee Grimes 6th in the 100 Free.  Simon Koester 4th and Avarey Newman 6th in the 500 Free.  Will Scott 5th in the 100 Back and Noah Berryman 2nd, Scott Hasselbrinck 5th and Grant Thomas 6th in the 100 Breast.

 

Advancing to this week's diving regional is senior Sam Hughes for his 3rd place finish in diving.

 

Advancing to this week's state championship at IUPUI by winning their sectional events are:

freshman Austin Kehr in the 100 Free, junior Noah Berryman in the 200 IM, senior Devon Anderson in the 500 Free and senior Jacob "JAWS" Wilson in the 100 Back.

 

The 200 Medley Relay of Devon Anderson, Noah Berryman, Jack Kreilein and Austin Kehr will also be competing Friday night.
