Boys' Swim Team Finishes 7th at HCC Invitational

The Bulldog Aquatic Center played host to several hundred outstanding athletes over the weekend, as the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Championship Meet showcased some of the state's best talent. The Bulldogs finished seventh overall.

The high finisher for the Bulldog boys was the third place 200 Medley Relay team of seniors Matt Phillips, Jared Sadtler, Eric Waggoner and Jared Woodings. Waggoner followed up with a fourth place in the 50 Freestyle - highest individual finish for the boys - and seventh in the 100 Freestyle. He also joined forces with Phillips, Woodings and junior Joel Paquin to finish fifth in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

In other quality performances, freshman Bradley Green and senior Mike Fouch finished seventh and eighth respectively in the 100 Butterfly, while the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Green, Paquin, junior Brian Collins and sophomore Kasey Cross finished eighth.

The Bulldog girls (4-3) and boys (2-2) return to action Tuesday, January 11 against Hendricks County rival Plainfield, traveling to Plainfield for a 5:30 p.m. showdown with the Quakers.
