Boys' Soccer Beats Avon

The #18 ranked varsity boys' soccer team travelled into hostile territory last night at Avon returning to the field and facing the team that ended their season last year. After a Noah Yohannes goal in the opening 7 minutes of the game, the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into the half. A nice counter-attack goal by Avon early in the second half brought the game level at 1-1, but Noah struck again with 24 minutes remaining to give the Bulldogs the 2– lead. Solid defense by the back line  and smart goalkeeping play by Jake Berry help secure the 2-1 win. The team moves to 5-2 and on the season, 2-1 in HCC play, and will square off against Guerin Catholic at home on Thursday.
