Lucas Leads Dogs to HCC Win Over Westfield

In case you missed it...Connor Lucas can hit 3s. 

The senior hit 9 3 pointers during his 28 minutes of play time, 6 of which were in the 4th quarter alone. 

The game was close throughout, there were never more than 6 points of difference between the Dogs and the Shamrocks at the end of any of the quarters. With a final score of 65-50, the Dogs continued their strong streak of 13-1. 

In the 1st quarter, senior Connor Lucas, junior Luke Lacey, junior Pierce Thomas and junior Tyray Lackey all contributed to the Dogs first 15 points at the end of the 1st. Senior Lucas drained a 3 right at the buzzer. 

The 2nd quarter only saw points from junior Thomas and junior Quentin Bragg, but the second half of the game was a scoring frenzy. Senior Lucas hit another 3 at the buzzer and junior Thomas hit 5 points. 

Overall, senior Connor Lucas had 31 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Junior Pierce Thomas had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Junior Luke Lacey had 7 points and 7 assists. Junior Quentin Bragg had 6 points and 8 assists. Senior Jakobi McGowan had 4 points and 4 rebounds. Junior Tyray Lackey 4 points and 2 rebounds. 

The Bulldogs have a quick turnaround and will play again tomorrow, Jan. 25, at home vs. the Carmel Greyhounds.
