Boys Basketball Drops 1st HCC Game to Eagles

Boys Basketball Drops 1st HCC Game to Eagles

Friday the boys basketball team celebrated a boy & girl double header with Zionsville.  It was girls senior night and all teams united together for coaches vs cancer night wearing the same warm up shirt in honor of those dealing with cancer in their lives.  With all of the pre-game activities, the teams were ready to play and excited to compete for a conference title on the line.  Brownsburg struggled to score through the first half but their defense kept them close.  With both teams not finding the net, Brownsburg trailed 24-20 at halftime.  Turns out that someone had left the proverbial "lid on the basket" and the bulldogs had one of their worst shooting nights in a long time.  With the offense unable to get much going the defense still held a high scoring Zionsville team to 20 points below their season average.  While it was a great evening to celebrate the senior players on the girls team and bring the community together to honor students, families and community members dealing with cancer, the team could not pull off the victory against Zionsville losing their first conference game of the season.
