Boys Basketball Falls To Lawrence North

A Friday night match up of cross town schools gave the Bulldogs another quality challenge as they hosted Lawrence North.  After jumping out to an early 8-2 lead Brownsburg offense went cold with turnovers and too many missed opportunities.  The team trailed after a quarter 11-8 and 19-16 at halftime.  While both teams struggled to put points on the scoreboard, the effort to compete was very evident as both teams made great efforts on defense and in hustle plays.  A back and forth 3rd quarter saw Brownsburg regain the lead and score 14 points but would still trail by two points, 32-30.  Poor free throw shooting would doom the Bulldogs as they ended 6-14 from the line and could not hold on to a mid 4th quarter rally losing 47-44.  The Bulldogs continue to do many good things and will get another great opponent Saturday with a 3:20 tip off with 3A power New Castle at Southport as part of a Saturday showcase of the state's top teams
