Varsity Football takes down Fishers at home

Brownsburg beat Fishers 42-17 on Friday night.

The Bulldogs scored on their first drive on a 5-yard touchdown reception from Ben Easters to Donovan Marcus. Fishers answered on their next drive to tie it up.

The scored stayed 7-7 into the second quarter when Easters connected with Luke Lacey on a 50-yard touchdown reception.

A 43-yard Preston Terrell catch set up a 5-yard Terrell touchdown catch to extend Brownsburg's lead to 21-7.

That score would hold into the second half. On the Bulldogs' second play of the half, Marcus took a 75-yard run to the house.

After Terrell followed it up with his second touchdown, Brownsburg led 35-10.

Luke Lacey would complete the triple-double for the Bulldogs, becoming the third player on the team to score two touchdowns in the game at the tail end of the third quarter.

"When you have guys like Donny Marcus and Preston Terrell and Luke Lacey and some of those guys, then good things are going to happen when the offensive line gets a hat on a hat," head coach John Hart said. "And I think that that was the biggest difference."

Brownsburg is now 3-2, including a 3-0 record at home and a 1-1 mark in conference.

The Bulldogs are back in action in Westfield on Friday.
