Bulldogs Improve to 10-0 in Sectional

Your 6A #2 ranked Brownsburg Bulldogs continued their perfect season by thoroughly dominating the 7-2 Southport Cardinals for more than a half, racing out to a 42-0 lead, before subbing in the reserves and finally winning 42-20.

The offense was as strong as it has been all season, scoring touchdowns on their first 6 possessions!  Quarterback Ben Easters was literally perfect on the cold and rainy night, completing every single pass he attempted, including 3 touchdowns to Bryce Kirtz.  The senior WR was unguardable and  unstoppable as he hauled in 8 receptions for 178 yards.  As per usual, in only one half of play, RB Donny Marcus went for over 130 yards and 2 TDs.  Senior RB Shai Sumpter-Bey rounded out the scoring for the dogs with a TD of his own, and he finished the night with nearly 100 yards rushing.

Coming into the game, Southport's QB was one of the best in the entire state, leading Indiana in passing yards.  However, the Dog defense held him in check and played a terrific game.  Junior DB Isaiah Higgins hauled in a critical interception early in the game which seemed to take the wind out of the Cardinal sails.  The entire defensive backfield deserves credit, as CJ Tanner, Anthony Lawrence, Jakobi McGowan, and Ty Griffin consistently made life tough for the Cardinal Offense.

Now it is time for the game everyone has been waiting for, as we need every single person to get to Avon to cheer on The Dogs against the #7 Orioles for the sectional championship!  This promises to be an epic battle, and the team needs all of your support!
